Well I purchased this game by ABC couple weeks ago and sadly I havent completed it ... yet. There are 6 episodes in total, each can last for up to 20 minutes to 30. I guess it depends on how long it takes you to focus on taking photos and talking to the cast of the island.
And onto that cast. The voice acting has been done by others, so no you're not chatting to the real Jack or the real Locke. Im sure the cast could hjave taken time out to record for the game. But due to the schedule of the show at the time the game was made, its understandable why other voice actors were drafted in. I would have to say Charlie has to be the worst voice acting in the game. The actor sounds nothing like Dominic Monaghan at all. Some gamers and fans reckon Locke is the worse one voice, but after awhile I got use to it and could almost imagine Terry O'Quinn behind a mic. But to me, Charlie gets the Worst Voice in Lost achievement! 5G to him then.
The controls are easy to pick up, but the game is buggy as sin. The parts that annoyed me the most were the parts in the caves. Id have a torch lit or the lighter and yet I would somehow suddnely appear next to a giant hole and GAME OVER!!! ARGH. Yes, this does make me want to throw my controller down, but its done nothing wrong. So the game gets abuse instead.
I guess some people play it to rack up a better gamerscore. I myself grabbed it for £3.50 and had been interested for couple years. So thought why not. Or even being a born again Lost fan. The graphics arent the best, yet they arent the worst Ive experinced for an 360 game. To me it sadly feels like most of the movie/TV games that get made into video games and they end up failing. The Harry Potter games can be fun ... remember I did say most!
Overall, 4 episodes in, I would give it a 6/10. It has the feel of the Lost show, but can be made up for in other areas. Lost is a game that the Lost fans should at least experince, but would most probably end up hating it. But give it a shot folks.
